Nicotine Solutions and Earthday Birthday Joining Forces for Global Impact

For the first time, Nicotine Solutions and Earthday Birthday are teaming up to form a worldwide support system for smokers and Mother Earth.

Everyone from all corners of the globe invited to participate in Quitting for a Cause sponsored by SocialTraffic.biz.

Nicotine Solutions this week joined Earthday Birthday to create a support network for people who want to stop smoking. The program begins with a free online stop smoking class sample and includes an outlet on the Socialtraffic.biz site for sharing progress reports globally. Aside from the personal benefits, each participant is asked to contribute to the Earth Day video campaign, explaining how they are saving and contributing $10 for the earth. This is a special campaign, launched as a first-time collaboration between Nicotine Solutions and Earthday Birthday. The program is based on helping smokers and the earth simultaneously. If people stop smoking, there is less pollution, less tobacco and paper needed. In other words, it relieves some of the stress that we humans cause the earth.
It is ‘green’ to stop smoking.
Lela Bryan, founder of Nicotine Solutions and an ex-smoker, has a stop smoking program that has a proven 90% success rate. She feels it will make a big difference for those who have tried unsuccessfully to stop smoking before.

“We are passionate about helping those who want to quit and haven’t found a way to do so. As smoking does have an ecological impact as well as a physical one, I think we have an obligation to do whatever we can for the earth, as well. The Quitting for a Cause campaign ties the two together perfectly."

Since quitting her two pack a day habit in 1978, Bryan has taught others to do the same, and in ways that she says, are more comfortable than any other method available elsewhere. This may encourage smokers who are afraid of the withdrawal symptoms. For anyone wanting a sneak peek, Bryan has a free online sample lesson available on the homepage of her site. For those wishing to accept the invitation to participate in this very important event, the steps to Join the World Quitting for a Cause Earthday Birthday are very easy, and explained in full on the Socialtraffic/Earthday website. About Nicotine Solutions and Earthday Birthday Nicotine Solutions is a stop smoking program that teaches you how to quit smoking. No cold turkey is necessary because you continue to smoke as you learn. Their methods are kinder and easier on a smokers psyche and system. As part of the global campaign for Earth Day - Quitting for a Cause, the company has pledged involvement and assistance to help the earth by supporting people who want to stop smoking.

Hi, I’m Lela Bryan,

the Chief Learning Officer at Nicotine Solutions.

I quit smoking June 4, 1978 and have been teaching others how to quit smoking and chewing ever since!

What words NOT to say when you are preparing to stop smoking or chewing.

What is the difference between saying I am going to “give up” cigarettes or I got rid of them.

If you “give up” something, do you want it back? SURE.

And if you want it back will you get it back? …SURE

If you got rid of really stinky, smelly garbage do you say I “gave up” the garbage…NO!

You got rid of it! You don’t want it back.

For women, it is like getting rid of the most abusive relationship that you have ever had let’s say Osama Bin Laden.

For men, it is like getting rid of a relationship with Lorena Bobbitt! (there’s a visual for you!)

Right now you think of cigarettes as being very precious and important

to you and I know it feels like you are about to “give them up”.

But just start to say I am going to be stopping smoking. I am going to be getting rid of this habit.

You don’t have to believe it just fake it till you make it. I show you how it is done.

I like this little saying by Frank Outlaw-

Watch your thoughts; they become words.

Watch your words; they become actions.

Watch your actions; they become habits.

Watch you habits; they become character.

Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

You will learn that you not giving up anything.

You are gaining freedom, peace of mind, calmness, money, health, stamina and better breath!

But there is a lot to learn in Nicotine Solutions before you are ready to quit.

A “Smokin” Classroom Now Worldwide!

With the help of Skype, Lela Bryan, the Chief Learning Officer of Nicotine Solutions teaches students from all over the world in her Tele Seminar. There are students from England, Bulgaria, California, Washington State, Oregon, Toronto and even The Yukon Territory in Canada!

Smokers are flocking from all over the world to attend Nicotine Solutions because of the 90% success rate that is based on behavior change rather than on drugs. Lela, who stopped smoking in 1978, says that “a smoker is a smoker no matter where they live, how old they are or what gender they are.”
At first, some smokers are reluctant to try the Tele class approach because they think they might need the in-person approach to quitting, but once smokers or chewers participate in the lively “Sneak Preview” and talk to other smokers and experience a live class, they end up acting like old war buddies at the end of the class!

Marianne Pendleton, of New York, who quit smoking 2 packs a day on July 2,2003 said “Lela’s seminar helped me quit smoking during an especially difficult time in my life. What made this program unique was the support and comradeship provided by the group even after the program had ended. We emailed constantly and shared our stories for months after wards. Having a group of new friends going through the same experience provided a great safety net- there was always someone to commiserate with, as well as share the triumphs!”

Another student named Pat who quit smoking in 1999, said
“I used to charge a lot of my cigarettes on my Texaco gas card and my gas card bill was around$250 every month. After I quit smoking, my bill went down to $49. I was shocked!”
(Well those days of low gas prices are gone, but at least she is still saving money because she quit smoking.)

Tim Wedrosky, of Palm Springs, who smoked 2 packs a day said he “had exhausted every known method at the time to quit. I had tried the patch, gum, aversion therapy and Zyban. Zyban made me act angry and get road rage.
Nicotine Solutions was the only thing that worked.”

Barry from Pennsylvania, who stopped smoking in 2003, said

“Lela, I am free. Thanks. You made a big difference. Tell your students that they can do this. It’s like a paper wall, appears strong & intimidating, but will yield to THEIR advances. I don’t even count the days, etc. It just doesn’t matter anymore. Smoking isn’t even worth the energy it takes to add up the days on a calendar.”

Deloree Burd, of Tacoma Washington stopped smoking a pack a day said, This is so much more than a “quit smoking” program-to be able to discover the “reason” we smoked is so much more valuable than I imagined. It has been life changing & empowering. To be able to be successful in such a short period of time is amazing. I am still digesting all of the material that has been presented & will continue to do so – as my life is forever changed. Thank you, Lela!

If you are a smoker or chewer join the fun, lively International classes at http://www.NicotineSolutions.com There are several free “Sneak Preview” classes scheduled every week.

You have nothing to lose but your habit!

Does the Great American Smokeout help smokers stop smoking in 2008?

Cold turkey was the only method available when Arthur Mullaney decided to quit smoking cold turkey and create The Great American Smokeout. Cold turkey isn’t usually a permanent solution because it takes twenty one days to change a habit.

I think that the Great American Smokeout should be updated by renaming it The Great American Easeout. Smoking is a multifaceted habit.

To stop smoking permanently you need to
-change your behaviors
-routines
-learn how to cope with stress in a different way
-learn how to deal with emotions
-detoxify yourself from the nicotine so your body has time to adjust
-change your attitude about the process of quitting so you won’t feel deprived
-this all needs to be done while you are smoking because it takes 21 days to change a habit

Nowadays many of the smoking cessation methods are still cold turkey and most of the them only address one aspect of the habit.

The physical cold turkey approaches are acupuncture, nicotine gum, lozenges, nasal spray and patches.
Using nicotine replacement to stop smoking would be like me saying that I am going to stop drinking white wine, but I am going to go on a vodka drip. Do you think I would ever stop drinking alcohol?… ha! I don’t think so.

The emotional cold turkey approaches are hypnosis, Zyban, Welbutrin and Chantix. If the smoke doesn’t kill you, the side effects will. The DOT (Department of Transportation) and the FAA (Federal Aviation Association) has banned the use of Chantix due to its side effects.
This year on November 20, 2008, if you are a smoker, why don’t you use the day to investigate and decide what method you are going to use to quit smoking rather than be forced to go cold turkey in one day.

Here is a comparison chart of the most popular methods to quit smoking.
http://www.nicotinesolutions.com/comparequitprograms.html

Choose a comprehensive program that lasts at least 21 days while you are still smoking, and also deals
with all the aspects of the smoking habit such as emotional, psychological, physical and behavioral.
Quitting with a group, having accountability and long term support are also important for permanent
success.

Can Someone stop smoking with the nicotine patch or gum? December 17th, 2008

I think there are little people in little rooms developing new nicotine products.

Let me tell you about the nicotine products that people get hooked on if you hear of any more be sure to let me know!

Cigarettes
Chew
Nicotine Gum
Nicotine patch - can get HOOKED on ANY – 3 patches/day
ICQ inhalers
Commit Lozenges
Nasal spray

Mark my words …. I am sure that some day they will probably come up with nicotine suppositories.

Nicotine is only about 2% of problem.
You’re not addicted to the nicotine patch or the gum
The REAL problem is the behavior of smoking. First thing in the morning, last thing at night, driving your car are the triggers that you need to change.

It takes at least 21 days to change a habit and that is why we have you smoke for the first 6 weeks of the program.

The idea of relearning behaviors isn’t just for quitting smoking. It’s essential for any habit.

Do you remember when Oprah lost all her weight the first time with Optifast?

She was thin for about 10 minutes. She didn’t really deal with her eating and exercise and when she went off the fast she started going back to her OLD BEHAVIORS.

Not eating right
Not exercising
Didn’t CHANGE any behaviors

For the last 10 years she has looked fabulous (except for the thyroid glitch) and it is because she
changed her whole lifestyle she is
Eating right
Exercising
She CHANGED ALL her behaviors

Going on the patch or nicotine gum to quit smoking is sort of like me saying I’m going to quit drinking white wine so instead I’ll go on a vodka drip …

The question is . . . do you think I’d EVER quit drinking alcohol? NOOO
It’s JUST a different delivery system.

The nicotine patch, gum, lozenges and nasal spray just give you your nicotine in a different form but you don’t really change your behaviors.

Nicotine Solutions will help you change your smoking habit or any other form of nicotine that you are addicted to (some people get addicted to the nicotine gum or the patch) through a series of step-by-step assignments to follow while you are still smoking or chewing.

You are invited to attend a complimentary sneak preview of Nicotine Solutions at http://www.nicotinesolutions.com
